Lauren Andrea Connell
Professional Journey
Lauren Connell B.Sc. Pod Med is a graduate of Podiatric Medicine in NUI Galway. After achieving her first-class degree in 2019, she began her Masters by Research scholarship within the Podiatric Medicine department, where she gained extensive knowledge in Public and Patient Involvement, and Wellbeing within Diabetes.
Keen to progress her career, she obtained a PhD scholarship, within the topic of Health Literacy and health professional education. Lauren is a registered podiatrist with a keen interest in improving patient care and health outcomes.
Lauren is now practicing in Melbourne, Australia in multiple sectors. She works in the hospital setting, teaches allied health assistants in Aged Care and continues to pursue research.
